I gotta say that the 1994 Intrepid (second year of the 12 year run of Intrepids) was damn near bulletproof. the only gripes I had about that car was the hvac system was garbage and the headlight system was not designed well. the rest of that car would probably still be driving after a nuclear holocaust if it hadn't got totalled.

I had an Intrepid but I can't remember what year. The thing was a reliability nightmare. It stranded me twice and I traded it in after the second time. Thankfully, both times, it was repaired under warranty. The first was a failed fuel pump and the second was the transmission. So I dumped it while I was ahead. Weird design. Longitudinally mounted engine on a transverse transmission. That made it easy to work on. Good thing since working on it was evidently a regular thing.
