Hey all, I have a 2010 2.3 with an absolutely beat-to-hell oil pan. The Haynes manual says that my year's pan can be removed by just jacking up one side of the engine, but gives no more info on the procedure and I can't find anything online for the newer 2.3s. Does anyone have experience with this? All the shops I've contacted have given me the F-U price of 2-4k, which is more than I paid for the truck.

Here's a pic so we can cringe together at the repair job.

Did you read the whole thing? Besides raising one side of the engine with a special hoist bracket, they want you to loosen the transmission bolts from the engine and slide the transmssion back 1/4 inch or so also.

Is it leaking? Some people are good with jb weld.
