Brake line flare nut thread size/part id help

Yeah, I’ve fought with them wanting to slide around. As long as I can get the drum to fit on it keeps things where they need to be usually

Setup looks to be correct.

I wanna say I had the same problem until I put the retaining pins in. Is there still tension on those? (That's the ones that stick thru the back at roughly 4 and 7 o'clock.) I also remember having a hard time bumping everything to center to get the drum over it...
Yes the retaining pins still have tension in the springs. I put the pins through both shoes, installed the adjuster wheel to make sure it was fully seated, then I put on the little arm that sits in front of the wheel, then I connected the spring across the bottom. At that point I put the drum on when I knew everything was positioned correctly and it slid on. Took the drum off and then put the e-brake bar with the red spring in and then connected the adjuster wire and the remaing springs up top. That's when the bottom moves over.

I really only have 1 more part I can throw at it, and that is the adjuster wheel. So I think today I'll try it with the old one. I found the bag for
the adjuster kit that came in the crate of parts the seller included. I went onto rock auto and did not find this particular kit listed in my trucks section, maybe thats something?

This is usually a case of a stuck park brake cable.

I take a long screwdriver and a hammer and attempt to tap the park brake lever to pull cable through its housing.

Yeah I wish I could just bang the darn thing on and call it good, but it's so tight I wouldn't be able to make any adjustments. I'm not alone it seems haha.

I had seen mentioned somewhere that sometimes that cable can cause problems. I double checked last night just to make sure I didn't have the parking brake set on accident. I will definitely give this a try! I would have never thought to do that. How much cable should I expect to possibly come out? I can't imagine more than maybe like half an inch?

It doesn't take much to hold that shoe off the anchor pin.

I'm not suggesting you remove the park brake strut permanently... but if you take it out and the drum slides on... it's the cable holding you up.

Awesome, I will definitely try that tonight. Thanks man!
