I was wondering if anybody here has converted a 4x4 TTB truck to a 2wd scissor beam front end? how dificult was it? Any suggestions? Or if you can post a link on a tech article. Thanks :icon_welder:

anything is possible, but the question is....why? I'm sure there's someone that would trade you a 2wd for your 4x4...

Yeah why would you want to get rid of 4x4, people do swaps to make there trucks 4x4. If you want a street truck or something you could trade your 4x4 for a real nice 2x4.

Normally people want to go the other way. Doing a conversion is possible but it is generally agreed that it is not worth the time, money, and effort. Just trade it on a 4x2 truck.

It would be much easier with a 2WD Bronco II front end. But again, it's kinda silly when all you have to do is trade with someone who has a 2WD and wants a 4WD. There are quite a few of these around.

FYI, I'm sure your 4x4 is worth quite a lot more than any 2x4. Wall studs go for around $5 apiece.

I've said before, a 4x4 is a 4 wheel drive, a 4x2 is a 2 wheel drive, and a 2x4 is a piece of wood.

I actually saw this done to a jeep wrangler once... dude dropped it and put 20's on it... thats a good way to earn yourself the right to a beating right there.

....also known as lumber. Lumbar is part of your back.

ya the b2 front beams will bolt up...and you could always slap in the dummy t-case from the b2 so you dont have to get rid of your tranny..or if you want a ranger 2wheel drive frontend you need to change the engine cross member...i say if you want to do it...do it..just give me your front end..i can put it to some very good use
