I've got a 99 Ranger 3.0 with the off road package. When it is cold it shifts like a brand new truck, however when warm it is a bit rougher, but not bad. What would cause this? It isn't bad enough to cause any drivability issues, just enough to be an annoyance.

The issue has been fixed. It was a bad trans mount. There was also a distinct clunk when taking off from a stop, or speeding up after slowing down to very slow speeds.

Also, changing the trans mount was super easy. The cross member unbolts with 6 bolts, and the trans mount comes out with 4. The hardest part was getting the cross member back in after the new mount was installed, because it lifted the transmission up a lot more than the old mount did. Having 2 floor jacks would have made it a lot easier.
