If you got pics of a this setup that would be awesome to see.
I have looked at the tire fitment guides and read alot into any available lift kit options for my ranger. The most practical thing to me seems to be a 4" skyjacker kit, 32s, and 4:10s for my DD, wheeler. leaving the stock D35 and 7.5(91 supercab)
But can I fit some 32s with that setup????
I also just replaced the OEM leaf springs, can I get away with using blocks, shackles, add a leafs. Or should I just get em(new leaf springs) with the kit??

Hell I dont know maybe someone should just talk me into a 6" lift, 33s an 8.8 lockers, etc... Lemme know what you think

iv owned lots of rangers with 4'' lifts, finely got one with a 6'' susp.. lift and will never go 4'' again, 6'' and 33x12.50 swompers love it, if you go 4'' after a month your gunna wish you spent the extra cash and got the 6'' lift. deffenetly go 6''

On my '92 RangerI started with the Skyjacker class II 4" lift and it cleared 32" tires easily.

This is at 4" height

I agree with mkpecor... go with a 6" kit. I ended up getting 6' lift springs for mine but a that height you will need some steering mods such as a SkyJacker extreme drop pitman arm or a modified Superlift Centre Link Steering set up. The latter is what i did to mine and it steers as good as it did at stock height.

all you need to clear 32's is a 3" body lift and set of stock early exploder aluminum wheels, u have ZERO rubbing even at full flex.

a 4" kit will be mroe then enough to flex out teh 32's

Ok which is better, I have heard of modifying the superlift steering linkage but I have no fab tools. Would the extreme drop pitman arm do the trick or would it suck. Also how necessary are steering stabilizers with a 6 inch lift?

Nice rig by the way.

Modifying the SuperLift steering linkage is the better of the two choices but also more expensive. You won't need any steering stabilizers if set up correctly.

There used to be a good thread that contained info about modding the SuperLift steering but I can't find it.

PM 4x4 Junkie... he might know where that thread is

If i was u i would run a 2 inch kit and 31s, or a 6 inch and 33s. The way i always looked at it is if u go through all the trouble of popping out the rivets for drop brakets, u might as well go all the way for 6". The 2 inch is easy, just change the coils and yer done. My truck does ok wiht 3.73 and 31s, and the gearing works out that 33s and 4.11s are a hair better.

with a good grinder knocking out them rivets tages about a minute per rivet, and then it pops off, takes about 5 mins per side, and ur just gonna be replacing them with bolts anyways, and keep in mind many states have lift laws, i know in NJ 6" and 33's probably wont pass tilt becuase total lift is more then 7".....just a thought, HOWEVER 4" and 33's(which will clear without rubbing with most wheels), will pass inspection in any state

you guys have a lift law never heard of that, im glad i live in washington, nothing like that here, crazy.

By the way,.. 31x10.50x15 and 3.73 makes me wish for 4.10 gears, that is what the chart says you need to maintain the same power as smaller tires. My winters are 235x75x15's now I am on 31" BigFoot X/T's I miss the power with the small tires!
