who all has done the 4.0l v6 swap into a 1984 style ranger that had the 2.8l v6?

I think the list of who all has put a 4.0 into a 1st gen is long enough to fill 3 pages ... it's been done a number of times and had tech articles written.

I did the 4.0L swap on mine and it runs fine but where do I mount the computer? it was mounted on the other side before and now I am not sure where to put it.

So what was your donor? I know it has been talked about to extend the wiring to allow the Later PCM to be put in the stock early location. I've also heard multiple ideas for enclosures suggested. Everything from professional project enclosures to tupperware. Which I honestly think could work if you get something solid enough.

my donor was a 1994 ford ranger.
