4.0 V6 4x4 / 4x4 troubleshooting , please help!

Hello Everyone ! I am a new member looking for some assistance with Blanca , my white XLT 4.0 4x4 . I have owned the truck since 7k and currently has 80k on it . I have not had a single issue ( stock battery still ) with the truck until recently the 4x4 has been giving me issues . When i start the truck i do see the 4x4 high and 4x4 low lights blink quickly then disappear . when i move the 4x4 swith i get nothing , no click , no dash light . Can someone help me determine what i can troubleshoot to figure this out ? I would turn on the 4x4 to keep everything moving a few times a year . Could i be the control module ? Transfer case shift motor ? Hub ? This is my daily driver so i have not torn into it much . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks , Josh .

Many posts on this latley!, Check for a ground wire thats hooked to the drivers seat mounts under the carpet.
