Yes, just be sure to order the version of the Aluminum ThermoStat Housing
that has 1 TempSensor, pick either ClipMount or ThreadMount,
& appropriate RadiatorHose outlet routing, ForeHand or RightHand.

And worst case you can just put in a 2nd sender/sensor to seal the hole and not use it

Or thread tap the soft aluminum & put a pipe plug or bolt in the extra hole,
as I did to move left TempSensor\ThermoCouple out of the way of left TimingTensioner.

Typically, I would just fill the radiator, squeeze the upper rad hose while filing to help work the air out, then when I can't get anymore air out I run the engine and fill the rad some more. Keep the overflow full, and check the radiator every time I go to start for a few days.

For me the heater core hoses are a high point. I installed a flush tee in one of them. That way I can loosen the cap on the tee and allow air to escape.

Remove either heater hose at the firewall and fill until coolant starts to come out of hose and core

That's the way I've always done it but haven't seen flush tees for a while

After I swapped the housing n my 4.0 Mustang, I just filled it and checked it every time I drove it for a few days. When the level in the overflow tank stabilized, I assumed it was full and haven't messed with it again. The heater hoses get hot, so they must be full.

My driveway has an incline and I fill the radiator with the front up and that usually works well. I check the reservoir after driving and cooling down. I add coolant if it is low.

got the old housing off. 2 of the 3 mounting bolts broke off 1/2 from base. cant find anything to grip the broken bolts. Been spraying with blaster and have been trying vicegrips with no luck. Thought about a propane torch but aluminum head is not a good idea. Any ideas?

Cut away old plastic ThermoStat Housing with tin snips.
PenetratingOil soak broken bolts overnight, then try ViseGrips again.
If that dont work, cut bolt flush with engine block, small bit drill into broken bolt, use LeftHand remover.
If that dont work, drill out broken bolts & ThreadTap holes for slightly larger bolts.
AntiSieze for the next guy.
Patience + persistance needed.
