4.0 Ranger, won't take fuel under load

2001 4.0 Ranger. In park will rev to limiter. In gear will take about 10 to 15% throttle and then start sputtering. Will eventually creap up to road speed. New fuel filter, new air filter. OD light flashes and will not shift automatically. Codes are P1747, 1451, 1409, 1401, 0765, 0760, 0765, 0760, 0755, 0750, 0743, 0155, 0135.

I would take a fuel pressure reading. May be a weak pump

2001 Ranger 4.0l automatic

Take a look at Fuse 41 in Engine Bay fuse box, 20amp, it is blown for sure, and causing all those codes

If replacement fuse blows right away then take a good look at the O2 sensor wires, one may have touched exhaust pipe and melted causing a short in the system

Fuse 41 power the Heaters in the O2 sensors, plus EGR solenoid and all transmission solenoids, so if it blows lots and lots of codes

And yes, vehicle will NOT drive well in this condition

If you are using an OBD2 reader for Throttle position, it should read 16-19% when closed

As always, when you get an answer on this forum it is spot on. Thanks Ron, truck is running great. I had purchased the truck as a theft recovery and it had not run since 2018. After the transport dropped it off this week, I replaced the converters that were stolen and couldn't get it to run. I really appreciate the help. Thanks again, Wendell
