What size rim do I need for a 14.50 tire? I wanted to get some new rims at some point, but right now I run 31x10.50, and eventually wanted to run 35x14.50 boggers in the back(and probably LTBs or TSLs up front, but maybe a 12.50, I dunno), but will probably be getting some used 33s or something between now and then, being a college kid I dont have $700 for a pair of tires.

Ideally, I would want something that fits my 31x10.50 now, and would fit the 35x14.50 boggers later, but I can understand if that isn't reasonable... And if it isn't, what is a good option for a 14.50? 15x10? Right now I am running stock 15x7 rims, and I guess I could continue to run them until I get some wider tires, but I at least want to know what the options are. And lets say I will pick up used 33x12.50s, because they are the common size.

since i'm assuming this thing wont be seeing much street, you probably aren't worried about even tread wear. if there is the possibility of running a 12.5 up front just go 10" rims

10" wide rims.

I run the 15x10's with my 35x14.5x15 BOGGERS.

I have 15x8's on the TSL's

Yep, 15x10 is good for a 14.5" wide tire (15x8 for 12.5 wide tires). Trying to put a 31x10.5 on a 15x10 is stretching it though...

Thats kinda what I was thinking... 8" is too skinny for the 14.50 (I would be happy with 12.50 but with Interco's production what it is right now, who knows wtf I will be able to get when the cash flow appears) and 10" is too wide for the 10.50...

i usually say the wider the better.if your tires now were wider i'd say go 15x12 but since you want to use them for both tires its gotta be 15x10. heres an oldie 35/13.5 on 15x10

31x10.5 on 15x12 would kinda look like this

my 35X14.50s are on 17X11 rims i believe. its been so long since we got those rims made i cant be sure of the width anymore though.

How do 15x10 rims perform on a 12.5 tire? How far could I air down before I have to worry about spinning the rim without the tire?

Thanks.

they make the tire fatter so you will have a bigger contact patch. that helps on sand and a lot of types of mud to stay on top of it. more contact helps out on the rocks too. not sure about the psi
