I have a 93 Ranger and would like to move up to 35's but just want to make sure I'll be ok with the stock teardrop style 15x7 wheels. Has anyone done this?

Just depends on how wide of tire you want, it should be fine. I had 33s on stock wheels and it was all good.

That's a lot of sidewall.
Might be a little squirrely on the street.
As far as the width, you'll be fine; it'll wear the centers a bit more when fully inflated.

No issues at all being squirrelly on the street. Handles pretty darn good.

No probs. Pics do not even begin to show how big it is...I am 6'0 and it Towers over me now.

that's got to be an understatement... my 07, fx4 level II, with a 3"bl, and 33's, i can't see my roof, and i'm 6'2"

just make sure when you put those 35's on, you have enough lift you aren't going to be rubbing, i've got to get a set of shackles for my truck, i ripped one of my fender flares part way off today

Thanks! It drives just fine with the 2.3. I can maintain 70 on the highway. 5th gear is absolutely usless though. But otherwise, have not had a single issue. Regear will happen sooner or later as I want to be able to tow with it. Prolly going with a 4.56 gear. Not locking it though as don't really see a need to.

@weezl, it is at least 3" taller than before. Almost sprained my ankle getting out of it the other day.

by my math (provided stock we were level) you should be 7 inches taller than my truck... like i said, it towering over you HAS to be an understatement!

when you say you can maintain 70 on the hiway, is that what the speedo reads? did you change your speedo gear?

That is what the GPS reads...Of course gotta love the German autobahn...don't have to worry about speeding tickets. :P

I ran BFG 35x12.50 15's on 8" rims on a F150 for a while but later switched them over to 10" rims on the same truck, much better. IMHO, I wouldn't put them on 7" rims. Also hard to believe that you won't lose turning radius?

Don't you have 4.10's stock?

BTW, a big thumbs up for German drivers.:icon_cheers:
NO passing on the right.
Actually move over for faster vehicles.
One of my favorite places.
A few years ago my wife and I picked up a new BMW in Munich and spent a month traveling around.
Highlight #1: Setting the cruise control on 125 mph.
Highlight #2: Driving my new car around the Nurburgring!!:yahoo:
