C6 and 1356. notched tiny piece in frame for t case. Flowtech shorty headers for a 1990 bronco with a 351. modified pass header just a lil bit. drivers header fit great just flattened a tube a lil for clearance
Depends on what the curb weight is, being a ranger i would spring for a c4 there is so much in the aftermarket world for them.
In my 93 f150 lightning I got rid of the e4od for a junkyard c6 and its holding up just fine behind my twin turbo 351w (so far). Even though the c4 can handle some serious power, it wont handle much over 4,000lbs. The internals just arent beefy enough.
Started with a 351/C4/Dana 20, then a 396stroker/C4/Dana20, then a 396W/ZF/Np205, now going to a maybe bigger than a 396W/C6/203-205doubler. A stock type V8 the frame isn't an issue. More than 450hp then I would start adding some things. As far as headers I used a brand new set of long lubes, a cutoff wheel, a tube bender and a welder.
