Good morning. I have a 98 Jeep Cherokee that recently died on me after purchasing new tires. How much lift would I need on a BII to use these tires (if even possible)? The wheel bolt pattern matches 5x4.5 (114.3 mm).

Same bolt pattern.

33's IIRC would need 3 or 4 to clear good

Do some research. Everyone has different tastes and styles and none of them are wrong. Select what fits best for your style and taste.

With these older rigs youre pry going to be limited more on actual availabilty then anything.

Just dont buy stuff off amazon or ebay witf unheard of names

I've got a first gen BII that has a set of 33 12.5 15s on it. I didn't want to cut my fenders so I lifted it. Tech section has a good chart for tire size vs lift. I put a skyjacker 6" lift with 2" body lift. A bit too high but it all on there now. I'm thinking of going with 10.5s and taking the body lift off. Then I'll need new rims too. These are 10" wide.
I tried them on my 89 which has just 3" body lift. I had to trim some of the front fender and have a custom front bumper. Factory bumper would be rubbing. This set up is OK on the road but I think it would rub if I flexed much.

My skyjacker lift is by the piece not a kit. Using factory radious arms. Rear is all spring, no blocks.

87 BII with 4" suspension lift, 33" rubber would rub in full turn, pretty close but clear of rear fenders.

87 BroncoII with a 4" suspension lift plus Bushwacker cutouts, problem solved.

Sounds like too much so I'll do some research in you all's tech section. It stinks cause I paid a lot of money for those tires and put about 20 miles on the Jeep before it died. Guess I'll sell and go some smaller.
