Would it be ok to run 33x12.5 tires on the stock rim (15x7)? If it helps I have the wheels that came stock on the 98-00 Rangers.

Naw a 10in wide rim would be ideal but you could go as skinny as an 8 but seven would be too skinny and you would wear the middle strip out of your tires.

33x10.50R15s would fit fine. 33x12.50s are too wide though.

the back spacing would put them pretty tight,Ive been running 7 inch wide rims, with 33x12.50 tires for year's and have never had a wear issue.Even wiht spools and lockers. Only issue I have had with this combo is getting chain tire shops to mount them up.

and my DD jeep chroke, has the stock 15x6 rims, with 31x10.50's no wear issue ethier.

but to anwser your question, Im going to go wiht no they wont fit in the stock rims, due the the back spacing will be to far inset. And the tires will rub on the insides when turing against the frame, aarms etc.

find a cool tire shop and try one on, on the front see

Alright guys thanks, I'm likin' the sound of 33x10.5s. Does anyone see any problems with running those?

7 inch rims are way to dangerous for this witdh of tire. 10.5 is the widest you should put on a 7 inch wide rim. An 8 inch rim as I have with 12.5's is the best thing to do. 10 inch rim is ok but it is not recomended by a lot of my truck mags or some of the Power Block TV shows I watch. Some people are ok with the 10 inch rim, but just make sure you check those tires every week for safety's sake.

Good luck.

One of the biggest chances you take with 12.50 on a 7 inch rim is also the bead not seating 'level' like its designed to at the factory, someone above said hes been running them for a while, so yes it will work. But not knowing how hard he wheels them, I would take it easy and if you need to push it real hard, then do it a little at a time and get a feel for what is safe and what is not. 33.10.50's are an Ideal setup IMHO. I'd love to find a set myself, but I dont have the lift for it. Im still stock ride height.

i have 33 12.50s on stock rims and i wheel pretty hard with no problems.

you can fit 33's on 15x7 they look really stupid but it works .my 94 explo had 33x12.50 on 15x7 and that was my DD for 3 months .it drove like dog shit but it still drove

I think im just gonna go with bfg at 33x10.5...and gears will come after i get some more money... does 789$ mounted and balanced sound like a good deal to u guys? That's the price that discount tire gave me

thats a pretty decent price, i think i payed $127 a piece for my 30 x 9.50 x15 BFG ATs (i couldnt save up that much money at once without spending it on something other than what i was saving it for) and then paid another $10 per tire to have my local shop mount and balance them.

Alright well I made an appointment with Discount Tire and I'm gettin my tires on Tuesday...I'm so excited! I'm gettin the 33x10.5

So I assume a 31X10.5 would fit on the wheels just fine, as thats what I'm looking at.

Will they(31X10.5) fit in the wheel wells at stock ride height? I'm getting a camburg 6.0 kit in a week or 2 but I would like to go ahead and get the wheels so I don't gave to drive to the tire shop with tiny tires...
