M going to be getting 32x11.5r15 tires. I've about narrowed it down to falken wild peak ats of bf goodwrich at ks. Can I get some suggestions or any other ideas? Thanks all suggestion are welcomed.

If you abuse your truck off road get the bfg at ko. Its a tough tire that wont let you down.

If you drive more on road and lightly off road then get the wild peaks because they get far better traction in every condition than the bfg at ko but they are not as rugged as the bfg.

Both tires suck in mud.

Uhm. Falkens are far better than the BFG's in EVERY situation.

Get the falkens. Don't even consider the BFG.

My truck came with BFG's. I'm now running 32" falkens and will never consider any other all terrain currently on the market. I beat my falkens to death and they have held up amazingly.

The BFG's. not so much.

And falkens don't "suck" in mud. In deep mud, sure. But in lighter mud, 12" or less they do very well.

I have had great luck with cooper Discover tires.
I have ran a few different sets and have loved them.

Atr,st and stt.

+1 for the Falkens, got them on my 99 and love the ride and traction. Never ran the BFG at ko, but in all the reviews I read when tire shopping the Falkens seemed to win out. I will admit that most of those reviews involved Jeeps and very little pavement.

What? Please, read what you wrote there. Seems pretty contradictory to me. Never heard of issues concerning the ruggedness of either, can personally attest to the Falken holding up well. Wouldn't you want the tire that has "far better traction in every condition" off road, and on road too for that matter?

Not contradicting at all? Both tires are great all terrain choices. The Falkens do have better traction than the BFG but the BFG is still a good traction tire. The BFG is more rugged than the Falkens.

90% of reviews on all terrain tires are people who call dirt roads off roading. Cant trust reviews. Ive seen those falkens on a few trucks and they do not hold up with a load in the bed. I clean up after a logging company and have to travel skidder paths which are stumps and cut offs of trees all over the place. The only other all terrain tire ive seen make it out of that terrain time and time again beside BFG ATs is the Cooper Discoverer ATs. We replace a lot of tires Falkens have been one of the unreliable ones.

Believe me id much rather have the better traction the modern tires offer, but cant be without the ruggedness of the BFG.:icon_thumby:

The BFG chunk and tear tread like crazy Offroad. I have personally ram both tires. On and Offroad. Hard. BFG's DO NIT HOLD UP.
They chunk like crazy.

The falkens do not. They still look perfect. Not one sign of chunking. They are a far superior tire.

And even if they do chunk for some reason, they have a 50,000 mile tread warranty.

Falkens are way more rugged than the BFG.

I know exactly what a skidder road is. I am surprised that you cut down 90% of all reviews as being nothing more than dirt roads, but you think a skidder road is offroading. Yes they are full of obstacles (stumps, limbs, etc.) waiting to punch a hole in your tire and rip it apart, but that's not what you find everywhere else. You can't judge a tire's offroading ability by that, if you could we'd all be driving around on scaled down skidder tires. It's certainly not what 90% of the rest of the country calls offroading. Most riding trails are fairly well up kept and not full of stumps, mostly full of various terrain obstacles. You also can't judge a tire by a person's inability to drive, which sounds like a lot of the problem that you mentioned.

I drive in the bush to get firewood all the friggin time. Stumps logs and rocks all over. Summer an winter. Falkens never let me down.

Yes. If you want an all terrain, you want falken wildpeaks.

I've convinced several people of this, and all have been happy.

I didnt even think of that, but now that you mention it it popped into mind. The Falkens dont chunk as much true. Only because about 50% of the grooves in the lugs do not go all the way through. The lugs in about half the tire are not as deep as the BFG lugs and when the Falkens wear down to about 50% tread they become quite tread locked. They must still be fairly new to you.

A lot of the guys on our crew bought them when they first came out because they were so cheap. They didnt last long and now the ones who stayed with an all terrain are runnning Cooper Discoverer ST tires. The rest just went back to 10ply super swampers.

Im not trying to bash the Falkens. I can tell you guys are really head over heels in love with them. I do aknowledge that they get better traction than BFG ATs no doubt. The BFGs are tried and true, the Falkens are still fairly new and you cant find the reviews from the guys who ran them 50k.

To the OP your best bet would be to look up on Jeep forums and talk to those guys. Falkens are pretty popular with the Jeep crowd so youll find some good info there. As for a tire to be honest I wouldnt run either of the two mentioned. Just my opinion but ive seen just about every tire out there at some point get beat to death in the woods where I work and the Cooper Discoverer ST seems to get the best traction in all conditions and takes one hell of a beating. Just wish they made it in 33x10.50x15 for myself.

Bro. I've got 45k miles on mine.

Brand new they had 17/32's tread.
Last oil change mine had 9/32's tread.

So, in 45k miles I haven't even gotten halfway through the tread yet.

They don't last you say? Nice try. But they last. A lot longer and better than BFG's.

BFG's are not tried an true. They are old and outdated. BFG knows this and is currently working on their next all terrain.

I used to be a die hard BFG guy as well. Not after running falkens.

As for "50% of its tread doesn't go all the way" that's bullshit to. You don't even have these tires yet you seem to think you can bash them? Naw man.

:icon_rofl: I have a pile of them waiting to be recycled. I take everyones tires because my town has a transfer station. I have more Falkens then youll ever use on your truck to compare and help someone out who wants to know about them.

Im not trying to change your mind but its clear as day that around half tread the seperate tread blocks that were not grooved all the way through become one tread once youve worn down past those grooves.

And please, 45k and 9/32 left. Mall crawlers get that kind of mileage out of an all terrain:icon_rofl: You dont use your tires if you claim that. Dont scratch your truck and keep the tire shine on your tires. They'll look good at 80k seeing nothing but pavement.

I drive the **** out if my truck Offroad. More than half my driving is big speed gravel roads. My BFG's got so tore up I needed new tires in less than 20k miles.

So don't try telling me I'm a mall crawler.

Does a mall crawler break his shocks out of their sockets? No.

I do.

Does a mall crawler spend more time dirty than clean? No.

I do.

I drive my truck harder than most people I know. Hell, I drive harder than a lot of raptor owners do. So don't try telling me I'm a mall crawler.

Do mall crawlers do that? ^

Didn't think so.

Those side lugs don't go all the way down. I know that. But those ain't half the tread in the tire, and they go close enough to all the way down. I'll easily get 60k miles out of these tires.

I was lucky to get 20k out of my BFG's.

But hey. You wanna run an inferior tire, go for it.

You mentioned they don't have the best traction, and they chunk up. Yet for some dumbass reason you still say they're better.

And coopers Are decent, I ran those to a while back. Not as good as the falkens. Especially when price is considered.
