3-wheelers

I've had a 350X trike for about 8 years now and love the thing, sure it needs more suspension and more horsepower but it's light and agile. It's a lot of work to ride but to me it's more fun than a quad, when I get too worn out riding that I'll jump on the 400EX and have a little more power and it rides like a caddy... but leaves me wanting 3 wheels, the maneuverability of a trike is nice, responds to weight transfer better.

Sure they get tired here and there, all these quad trails and side by side trails have a rut in the middle and that is not very forgiving with a middle tire sometimes :). Plus when you drop a tire in a hole or off of something you didn't see coming you're kinda screwed since you don't have an "extra" tire...

The x's are nice. I'm probably going to offload my 110 when it's done and start building a 200x from parts.

"Built" a roller on ebay the other night using as many new parts as possible and I was surprised how reasonably it can be done. Id rather build one with 70% brand new parts than buy some clapped out turd for nearly the same price.

This looks like it could be fun...

Before I bought my 4 wheeler I was seriously considering buying a peel p50 kit lol. Some company bought the rights to reproduce them 10-15 years ago and they've added convertible, sports, and electric models lol. Just a tad too rich for my blood though, iirc the kits started at like 10k

Link??

About a decade later, my dad was trading with a buddy, and got a 1st gen Honda (300 or 350 ???) 4 wheeler. It still had the frame of a 3 wheeler that had been modified, by Honda, to accept the front fork for a 4 wheeler. It had the turning radius of a cruise ship compared to the actual Honda 350 4 wheeler he got so he and my stepmom could ride together.

I've got one of those now. It's a 85 Fourtrax 250. From the handlebars back it almost identical to a ATC250ES. Can confirm the turning radius unless you can slide it...

The early 350 4x4 quads had a 350x engine, fuel tank under the seat (they couldn't find anywhere else, don't remember what's in the normal looking tank?), full time 4x4, swingarm suspension front and rear and weighs a billion pounds... My brother has one, I'll probably buy it off of him to get it going, or get it going for him...

The greatest 3 wheeler ever made.

Swingarm up front eh? Never heard of that.. Definitely an oddball. Good collectors piece

Yeah, when I looked up the model apparently the articulation is as good as it sounds, but they're apparently a tank!
