Do 3/4 ton caliper brackets with the large 5 stud spindle bolt pattern exist?

I may be bumping to 16.5 inch rims so I will have the room and I might as well fill it up.

If you are moving to 16.5's you may as well convert them to 8 lug outers. Just run a wheel spacer in the rear to match. I have heard of big brake kits for the F150 axle, but they cost a fortune.

Out of curiosity what rims and what rear axle?

I have an expo rear with Dutchman shafts with 5x5.5 bolt pattern. I don't like adapters and don't plan on ever running them. I may bump to expedition rear disc as well.
I was looking into having rims made by diamond racing that are 16.5 with 5x5.5 pattern. So I can run cheap military tires since they are dime a dozen around here.

I can have the rims built to my specs and on my doorstep for 500. I have been tossing the idea around for sometime now and now that my
current tires are at the half tread mark I am thinking of actually doing it.

kick up to 8 on 6.5" you can get a FF D60 32 spline with disks from 1999-04? E350 vans. They are pretty common up here.

There is also no reason to not run spacers they aren't that bad. Keep them torqued and they are good to go.

I want to keep it Ranger width as well.

Mine is about as wide as a truck with heavily backspaced rims. You will be removing the fenders to clear 37's....

I can get 36s as well. I plan to cut the fenders to the outside edge of the stock flares if they don't clear. I clear 35s with zero rub at full lock, full stuff, and any other orientation.

If u can get the June 2012 JP magazine it shows how to put the 78/79 3/4 big brakes on the half ton dana 44 and still keep the 5x5 1/2 bolt pattern.

Using stock parts or is it some expensive kit?

I all about using parts that can replace easy if i break something and I don't have to spend an arm and leg for some discontinued part from an oddball setup

They showed u every part that u need. Their price was from $255 junkyard parts to almost $2000 all new parts and that was with new knuckles and every thing out from their. If u could find a 78/79 f250 parts truck u could do it really cheap.

The 3/4 ton rotors are bigger, so using the larger 3/4T calipers and mounts means the brake pad won't be sitting on the rotor all the way.... but I have seen it half assed that way before.

Do the T bird caliper swap as mentioned, it'll help.

Also, talk to Trail Gear (IIRC) and they can recenter some H1's to 5 on 5.5 so you can run the beadlocks with the military rubber.

Thanks for the info.

Trail worthy fab does recentered H1's with double bead locks. Really good wheels, I recommend them if you want to run mil tires or you'll have to get good at remounting a tire on the trail. Mil tires don't have a safety bead and will come off the rim if under inflated.
