Well Today the truck started fine at work left work got half mile down road and just died shut off. Trucks has lots of new parts (electric sensors) Fuel pump is working kicks on and off Checked fuel rail getting fuel there.

Getting power to coil but nothing out no spark two the front passenger plug only one I pulled so far.
Also no spark out of the new coil wire?

I put a new coil on still Nothing truck just turns over.

94 3.0 5 spd ext cab 4x4 stx

I'm sure I'm forgetting some thing.

I'm not familiar with the 3.0 distributors but the chevy Dists. have a module in them that goes bad all the time and causes a no spark out of the coil condition. it would be worth looking into.

I was thinking last night if it was like a Mustang dist. on the 302 motors I'll have to look into this tonight after works Thanks for the reply

It might have a TFI as mentioned above if the coil is new. If that checks out OK, I would check the Pickup in the distributor.

Power to the New coil still power to the distributor also no spark from either one.

Looks like the distributor has no sensor just the plug goes into the back side close to fire wall it has power to it.

Put a new ecm on it and nothing still

Pullling a code 211 PIP ?

It could possibly mean that the PIP sensor in the distributor is going bad or something tripped it (like a misfire or stall). I still suspect that TFI module...especially since you are getting power to the dist.

Look for loose wires/connectors. Follow it along to make sure nothing is shorting out somewhere. Try pulling the cap and rotor off and have a look inside at the pickup inside. I believe there is a way to test them..

Did you check for the Ignition control module (TFI)? I know you said that you checked and found a harness that plugs into the back of the module but that module could still be bad, allowing it not to start. Thats what the wires connect to. I really think this is it.

Here's a link to one for your truck:

That conector is the ecm that is mounted to the front rad. support by the battery I replaced it last night.

I really don't want to pull the distributor out but I think I'm going to have to still lost on the PIP code.

I did some research and I could have a bad stator, it's located under the rotor don't look fun to replace.

:dunno:

Put new Distributor on still nothing? Any other Ideas guys. I still have no spark? Have fuel and air no spark.

Got it running finally.

The old distrubutor had all the teeth on the gear ate off had to set it at tdc twice then it fired up and got her timed.
