2wd 03 ranger need snew shocks and struts

first off i need to knwo is it shocks and struts for car or does my truck just have shocks.

mine are coing bad fast in the back and almost as bad in the front. will getting newer shocks bring my ride hight up a little? and can i request shocks that will give me some lift?

last question is if i can chose do i get stiffer shocks or softer shocks(keep in mind im making this 2wd a mild off road build)

if you plan on lifting, get the cheapest shocks you can. new shocks wont change your ride height more then a quarter inch.

also, if you do mainly on road driving, get road shocks. munroe are great. if offroad grab rancho rs5000. but like i said, if your gonna lift, dont buy anything but the cheapest you can find so your not wasting your money.

offroad you want stiffer. keeps body roll down. but not too stiff.

thankyou. but how much is a decent 2 inch lift and how much would it cost to have a lift kit instaled.

id buy a 3"/2" lift from Doetsch. cost about 500 and will give you a good look. if you want to stay cheap you can do a body lift, but then you dont gain ground clearance. heres what mine looked like with a 3" 2"

a body lift is about 250 and you install it yourself. id reccomend doing your own installs or you will tripple your costs.
