28 spline traction lok conversion on 2006 ranger

I just finished converting my open differential to a traction lok. My ranger has a 28 spline differential and i used all ford parts. I got the traction lok from someone close who posted ads on kijiji. He was a real expert and provided me helpful hints and he also transferred over my bearings (my bearing separator was too small) and my ring gear and exciter ring.

It took about a day. Half one day and half the next.

This is a lot better. The truck hooks much better and should be better in the snow.

I am going to write out step by step how we did this.

I put 2010 polished aluminum rims on my truck today. I cannot squeal the tires now with the traction lok and the bigger tires! LOL.
