I'm located in Pa. Unfortunately I don't have all the pretty vacuum lines intact, but if you need a stock carb or the distributor your welcome to it. Let me know and we can ship it to you. I know your not ready to duraspark it or put any money into swapping things but quick question,... How much is your time worth and how much have you wasted chasing things around? Sometimes better to bite the bullet and just do it if it works and is more reliable anyway. Sorry just my 2 cents..
Let me know if you need any parts again you are welcome to them if needed.

hehehe. Right now? I have *LOTS* of time, so chasing things around is OK, and it gives me a better understanding of the system, so I dont mind it at all. Plus, I have far more free time than free money, so it all works out.

So did you get the beast to idle yet. I`m guessing you looked at the metering block i made you get the idea you will need to plug the solenoid in and set it on the manifold somewhere so the computer dont go all goofy on you but if you get the high speed air bleed dialed in it shouldnt throw a code. I just closed the little one all the way you can use the idle air needles on the carb to adjust the air fuel. Or you can just put the feedback solenoid i gave you on and see if it runs any better. Just disconnect the battery for at least 15 minutes to reset the computer then erase the computer memory and then warm it up to operating temp and run the codes.

I found it best to unplug the idle speed control motor after you start it and adjust the idle mixture screws to where you get the highest rpm then plug the idle motor back in and adjust the antideisel screw by the throttle cable to where it just dont touch the throttle lever and let the idle motor control the idle speed.

Havnt touched it since I picked that stuff up from you. I had a wedding to perform this weekend, and between the driving, the rehearsal dinner, and the parties, its been a long weekend. Hope to get back to work on it today or tomorrow. The weather is so nice tho, I might take the jetboat out instead :D.

I will let you know how it works out here in a couple days tho.

Got the lawn mowed, then went after the bronco. Got the new base gasket on, put everything together, and it ran worse! Played around with it some, adjusted the air/idle screws in the carb base to almost 3.5 turns out and swapped that idle control motor on the backside of the carb, and it seems to run pretty nice now. I'll run the scan tool on it again tomorrow maybe, and see if my couple of codes related to that bad idle have gone away, but otherwise, I think its a runner.

Need to start plotting out my rollbar options and get a winch for it, and then hit the trails.

Cool 3.5 sounds right for the needles did you adjust the curb idle also and the choke cold it usually took me a couple times to get it where i wanted it. The curb idle is easy get it up to temp turn it off and unplug the idle speed motor and start it and put it in gear ebrake on and tires blocked and adjust the position of the motor to a higher idle lock it down then plug the motor in. It makes for fast starts and the idle kicks up when you shift into gear a little. The few times I got passing codes the motor ran pretty good for me.
