TRS Event 2026 Carlisle Ford Nationals

Well, I’m finally back to the green Ranger project so we shall see if I can get it done and tested in time to make it out

I got my Carlisle credentials today. Now I just have to see if I get my new knee in time.

Ill have to take some time in the next few weeks to get the ranger shined up and ready to go. if they are calling for rain the day of i probably won't come out

I need to get the trailer frame work done so I can convert the 2019 into overland mode. It being clean and shiny would just be a bonus at this point.

I want to be the first to congratulate and praise @JohnnyO for arranging good weather for the Carlisle Ford Nationals this weekend coming.

2026 Carlisle Ford Nationals

We’re supposed to get a little rain in Carlisle early in the week. Thst’s to make sure all the grass will be nice and green. Then it’s supposed to dry up Wednesday evening into a mixed sun and cloudy, low 70s travel day Thursday.
Sunny and warm, mid 70s Friday arrival, meet & greet, and set up day,

Saturday, show day, he’s wisely and brilliantly provided a very comfortable sunny and upper 60s walk-and-see-the-whole-show day, and continuing upper 60s on Sunday (when he and I will be claiming our awards), and then heading home.

Way to go @JohnnyO !!!

So if you haven’t signed up yet…

I’m not making Carlisle this year. I was hoping to maybe be able to sneak out there, but no.

Hopefully the weather stays nice in eastern PA. Here in western PA it's been raining all month.

well gentlemen, I regret to inform you that I won't be making it this year, I completely forgot that this weekend is also the weekend my wife is pet sitting for friends of ours and that is a lot for her to take on by herself

Since we have two people off, there is no way I'll be able to take Thursday or Friday off. So, I'll be driving over after I'm done working for the day. That should be 3 pm.

I just got registered today, I'll be there for Saturday. This will be my first time at Ford Nationals. If anyone remembers my truck from Truck Nats it use to be all green. I missed last year's show due still doing the bodywork and rebuilding the rear brakes in their entirety.

Your erstwhile host Johnny O setting up at the Ford Nationals. Our club tent is in Section 744, kinda far back from the main road but right next to the drift track so we should see a lot of foot traffic.

So I was planning on leaving Atlanta at 9 AM Thursday. I only had a couple of 10 minute things I still wanted to do, so I finally got moving at 4 PM.

Other than the price of gas taking a bite out of my ass, it was nice to actually drive up here without something blowing up this time. I had a little flicker from the alternator light, checked the connections and sprayed a little WD-40 in the guts, and it didn’t flicker for the rest of the trip.

Left at 4 PM and BANG!, just like that, we were here at 5:15AM! I’m not sure if Lincoln had to pee more or I had to pee more, but the road Ranger did great.

I plan to hit the tent about 11, going to bed now…

I was on I-85 in Greenville about 10:00 thursday. I was watching for you to be going the other direction. But assumed you would have been even earlier. I guess I was wrong.
