To answer the question, yes. This is a huge event, there is all kinds of spectator parking, all kinds of food, all kinds of events all weekend, etc., there are campgrounds available and you can get a clean hotel for 60 $70 a night.

However, on the TRS side, if you don’t actually bring your truck, you’ll have to wear these:

Who has the farthest drive? I probably have one of the if not the shortest at roughly 60 miles, i grew up about 30 miles from Carlisle

For Carlisle? Of the people I know that are going, Rick W is probably the farthest since he is driving in from Georgia.

Siri says 657 miles for me & Lincoln. That’s only if I get all the turns right this time, and I don’t take the scenic route up the East Coast when I miss the exit.

Ok, I give in. @ryan , I’m still pretty new here, certainly not in leadership. But shortly after I joined, I noticed no one was shepherding newbies along, and on my own, I adopted the “Junior Ranger” initiative. After reading your profile, I withdraw the requirement for Jr Ranger gear. However, If you do ever get an actual Ranger, you may want to voluntarily wear the hat the first few times….
