A 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor has been pictured rolling down the production line at the carmaker’s Michigan Assembly Plant, providing us with our first opportunity to see the pickup in U.S. specification.

While the latest-generation Ford Ranger Raptor is already available in markets including Australia and across Europe, Americans have had to wait a little longer. This particular Ranger Raptor is thought to either be a pre-production prototype or could be a production-spec example for the U.S. market.

The Cactus Grey Raptor looks virtually identical to the model sold elsewhere but does have orange reflectors in the front fenders. The third brake light has also been relocated from the tailgate to the top of the cab. It also looks like the U.S. model will have a small sliding rear window.

The cabin of the model looks very familiar and is adorned with a number of sporty trimmings, including red accents around the air vents, a red 12 o’clock stripe on the steering wheel, and red stitching on the seats, dashboard, and gear shifter.

Powertrain details remain unconfirmed but we expect the same twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 of the Australian and European models to be standard. In Australia, this engine is good for 392 hp and 430 lb-ft (583 Nm) while being limited to a mere 288 hp and 362 lb-ft (491 Nm) in Europe due to strict emissions standards. We suspect the U.S. model could have just as much power as the Bronco Raptor which is rated at 418 hp and 440 lb-ft (596 Nm) of torque.

Last week, reports surfaced indicating that production of the North American version of the Ranger and Ranger Raptor would start on July 10 with deliveries penciled in for August or September. If true, that means this is definitely a pre-production prototype.

See if you havent touched it is it really yours haha. To be honest if i was in your situation where i didnt need it right away i would probably cancel and order a Raptor when ordering opens

Oh yeah… cancel my 6 month old order, wait for the next order bank to open, place another order for a vehicle with an even higher chance of taking longer/ not getting built due to restrictions. That sounds like a great idea.

I can see your point. I've a buddy that's had his Maverick on order since August I think. He almost bought one off the lot last weekend.

I like the styling and dash looks alot better then the current ones.

But that screen though...does it really need to be that massive?

I think that's what the new generation is wanting. Mine has the 8 in screen which seems big enough for me. My sister has a new Durango and all the climate control and stuff is only on the screen. It almost 1 yr old and been in twice for work on it. I wanted a STX but the only 1 on the lot 4x4 didn't have the rear locker. But I've been really happy with the screen now. I can run my nav apps and stuff right through android auto. So it all worked out.

My jeep has a tiny like 5 inch screen that does radio, temp, etc. Its whatever.

Wifes fusion has a big ass one that does everything, i cant stand it.

Just seems like over complication. Lol

We expect the Ranger Raptor to be late availability, so likely it will be a year before there are any customer units on the road.

With the broncos and rangers competing for production at MAP... and the Bronco currently winning because ford is trying to save their ass.. we're never gonna see any raptors lol.

At first glance... it looks a bit underwhelming. Raptor should have been left to the full size truck... Ranger and Bronco should have had their own name.

I saw some recent sales figures for the mid size truck segment. Toyota owns it. Period.

There is still stuff to figure out with the new gen offering... I just hope Ford had their sites set high enough.
