When I first bought my truck in the early summer I was getting about 16.3 mpg then I changed out some bad O2 sensors and my mileage jumped to 16.7 mpg. I thought great the more standard maintenance I do the higher I will get, being I don't have a lead foot. Last month I decided to do some more and did the spark plugs, air filter, and oil. I expected my fuel mileage to jump after doing that but now its taking all I got to keep 16 mpg and on the highway its even worse. I did everything to spec and I am wondering why would my fuel mileage drop?

Winter blend fuel?

That could be it! We did have some cold fronts roll through right after.

Winter blend fuel is what comes to mind for me as well. I noticed the drop as soon as they did the switch on my trucks.

I third the motion. As soon as I saw it happened in the last month it was my first thought.

I usually don't bother to track my MPG from Nov 1 through May 1 because the fuel blend and temps in those months just make it useless.
