Hi,
My dad just bought a clean 2009 truck formally owned by Duke Energy in PA. In a base model with vinyl floor, but its loaded with the 4.0, auto, and 4x4. Only 62k! Only ever driven an F250 super duty, and this truck is a lot of fun (sure does suck gas though). Going to be used as a spare truck when I am working on one of the full size utility bodied F250's.
My question is: Is it standard for the headlights to turn on whenever the parking brake is disengaged? I still have to turn the switch to turn on the marker lights, and dash lights. If I turn the switch all the way on the headlights do get noticeably brighter.
I googled a bit and it seems like standard daytime running lights, but I always thought that was a canadian thing. If its factory I will leave it alone. The truck has an aftermarket strobe kit installed in the front headlamp housings, so its not that far fetched that they company would want the headlights always on.
Any insight?
Just ordered a rugged liner, bilstein shocks and a ready lift key kit today as well. (the 2008-2011 trucks supposedly sit much lower in the front). Also picking up a blemished UWS toolbox next week and ordering some covers from Seat Covers Unlimited (seats are a bit weak in this thing). Always fun outfitting a new truck!
