2009 KIA Rio A/C troubles.

I didn't read the whole thing, just want to throw this in here. Last I checked Kia/Hyundai was not using serp belts, they were still using V-belt setups.

I know you know your shit adsm, I had thought everyone had switched to serp. Belt setups. I'll find out which this has

No they use serp belts.... have for sometime.

Id like to guess the smell though...... ummm, vaginal farts?

I know I put 3 belts on a Santa Fe a few months back. An 06 IIRC.

I am not overly familiar with ANY Asian makes though.

You were right adsm, its v belt. I swapped out the fuse in question. Here's another hint, it was the blower fuse, one of those big boxy style 40 ampers. Turned on the A/C and it blew almost immediately. The compressor is spinning good.

Yup, but really at the end of the day the problem was that the car was designed by KIA and not Ford.

Actually, you're right. I forgot that most of the 4 cyls use vbelts still. Pretty sure its just the 4cyls? When I worked for hyundai, we almost never replaced them.... just serp style belts!

And glad you answered the problem of it being your blower
