2007 Ford Ranger - Disable Daytime Running Lights (DRL)

Possibly. It seems dumb to backfeed a PWM power supply with steady voltage. In fact, as an electrician, I'll say it feels wrong to do that.
A diode would prevent backfeed though, is it possible the diagram doesn’t show a diode or a diode is used internally on the module to prevent backfeed?

It's possible. Either way, the diagrams are vague and we don't have a nice, neat way to remove or disable the circuit.

I’ve actually wanted to get a DRL module for my green Ranger but I don’t want to pay new replacement part cost. That one is simple, it’s just a little module that plugs in on the core support. Don’t know why they had to go and make it more complicated. That’s my common beef with manufacturers and engineers, they keep making things more complicated instead of simpler and reliable.

There's one from a 96 Explorer right here in my living room.

Wonder if it’s the one I need, apparently there were at least two different plug styles for those
