2002 ranger 4x4 replaced module no 4xlow

I replaced the 4x4 control module in my 2002 ranger edge. the lights for fwd come on when vehicle started but when i turn switch on dash to 4LO nothing happens. does anyone know what could be wrong.

Check the tech library,,there should be articles on testing and replacing the shift motor as this is most likely your problem.Not sure what they're worth new but I picked one up a few years ago for $20 from a pick and pull.

thanks for the info someone else said the same thing so thats probably what it is.
