Hoping that a few of the resident ford mechanics might be able to help me out here. We've got an 2001 Ranger 3.0L that we're replacing the fuel pump on. Dad broke a clip on one of the fuel lines and needs a replacement.
This is the style sending unit that he has:
It's one of the two QDs that is comming straight up out of the tank. Don't know if it's the smaller or larger. The truck is at his house and it'll be a few days before I can get over there and look at it myself.
I've directed him to photos of both of the two clip styles I know about for a Ford QD, but he says it isn't either style. Any ideas where I can get a replacement clip? Dorman has a large line of replacement QD fuel fittings in other styles, any of them that could be used to replace the ford one? If that won't work any other ideas on how this could be rigged to work?
