Is that a lift kit on stock wheels or did those things really ride that high?

Looks like small tires on 4x4 suspension to me.

So I got a couple dumb questions... 11k miles on a 6 digit Odo.... and didn't Ford only offer 100% of those as lease only and at the end of the lease decided they wanted all of em back and destroyed em - that would be one rare survivor.

How the heck did that thing go 25 years and only get 11k mi, was it broken 90% of the time, did someone put in a new dash cluster and mileage is just totally off... The kind of people who buy these electrics buy them cause they are high mileage commuters - my buddy who drives 93 miles one way every day for a job... Who would lease then buy out the least on an electric and do nothing but let it sit in the garage...

The Ford Ranger EV was built upon a Ford Ranger four wheel drive chassis.
Ahhh. So presumably they used a beefier suspension to support the weight of the batteries. I'm surprised they didn't work a little harder to tweak the ride height. It looks a little goofy to me but there's no accounting for taste I guess.
OTOH it's ready for 33s.

Edit: not trying to argue about it, it's a minor curiosity for me as to how it ended up looking like that, but that article you linked says:

Front suspension
Dual A arm with coil springs and shock absorbers (same as Ranger 2WD)

I just have a nerdy curiosity about how that truck ended up looking like that.

I was under the impression they were all supposed to be "disposed of" too, but a local school had one for sale awhile back with a completely different electrical system built by students.

Curiosity is a good thing.

I like that it has a DeDion rear suspension. Now that's ancient!

I'm not sure why the 11 miles, tax write off or fake like suggested.

Many went to auction after the lease. I've read about a few on different auction sites.

Why keep it and not drive it? Bring-a-Trailer dreams? 🤷

I'm thinking any of these left, especially clean ones, must have more value as collectors items than as daily drivers as the original batteries can't possibly provide more than 50-60 miles range, and replacing them or redesigning the electrics wouldn't be cheap.
But then again 8 grand isn't exactly a princely sum... I'd daily drive it if I didn't live in the salt belt.

It might just be sitting high, because the battery is low and it needs a charge . . .

. . . it'll sit lower when it gets full of 'lectricity.

It's funny, but possibly true to an extent. Assuming from the same production batch, I can hold 2 AA batteries and feel fully charged vs completely discharged by weight. That many Ions has to way something...

I see someone buying it and "converting" it to the modern battery systems.
