2.9L fuel Injection 1988 4X4 Ranger

Hello all,

I have replaced the in tank screen and pump, the high pressure pump on my frame rail, it does boot up on turning the key forward, but no real pressure when I poke the schrader valve.

Engine turns over fine..

Is the the fuel pressure regulator bad maybe?

Full tank of fuel.

Check the in-line fuel filter.

how much pressure do you get at the rail?

did you check the inline pump? that is the high pressure one

are the pumps turning on?

unless there is a line blockage and if both pumps are running I would double check the flow direction of the HP pump just in case you installed it backwards -would not be the FPR.
