2.9 short....

So can I just run a new hot wire to ignition and delete what’s factory what’s a common wire between Ignition switch and headlight switch I have yellow withi black that is hot with ignition switch

I have done a continuity test I put one side to the body of the truck and if I touch the ground wire on the backside of the headlight switch I get a beeping noise if I touch the water behind the radio light blue with red stripe I also get the alarm to go off are those to related at all
