check for frayied wires...& or bad ground wire. will it do it with in park/nuetral, or only going down the road?

ya...it runs ruff

Uffta...well start with simple stuff 1st.
~a compression check/test...should be pretty even across the board.
~while at that, give the plug wires a good once over, or just replace with new if they have some age on them.
~fuel & air filter.
can you get the codes off??

has new plugs thay are all firing...new fuel & air filter...i need a compression tester...i was told the head gasket was bad...but there is nuthing in the oil or on the plug..

well you could still have a bad head gasket...but more questions 1st.

Are loosing coolant?
did this happen with the old plug too? how resent was the new plugs?
If you do...On the off chance you still have the old plugs...is there 1 or 2 that are really clean?

if you're not loosing coolant ...don't get carried away...suspect something electrical in this case.
~have you change the ignition module yet?
~have you cleaned/replaced the AIC or Air Bypass assembly, (looking from the front, left side, upper intake, about mid way, longer cylinderical shaped)

nope it will blow coolant out into the little box...and all the plugs are firing but the back pass side plug looks new like there is no gas geting to it...??? i put a compression check on it and thay are 130 to 150 on all..the one thats not firing has the most out of thim all

So that back plug...does that look unused...or super clean??
with the rised compression on that cylinder could mean that is leaking, a weep/squirt of fuild will raise the compression.

Are the rest,(5), nearer the 130psi range with exception of the back corner one of 150psi?? that seems to be pretty good compression.

can you clearify " it will blow coolant into the little box"??? What Little box???

the over flow.....ya thay are all about 130 but the back pass side one is like 145 or so ..there is black crust stuff on the back pass plug...the coolant pump was out so i just put a new one on it...but i can get the fan back on! man im not likein this thing...

your compression doesn't seem out of line, even with 1 cylinder a bit higher.

the fan is mostlikely Left hand thread...that may help there. or are you talking about the mounting bolts?

have you tried to put/swap a different plug in that cylinder??? will it (the now swapped plug), come out looking the same as the 1st plug? maybe it is bad plug or plug wire. double check if all are fireing

Have you cleaned the AIC?

you may have broken valve spring in that cylinder. You'll have to remove the valve cover to know for sure.

ok...i got a fan on it..i made a toyota one work...now...its making alot of pressure in the radiator.....and keeps blowing the coolant into the over flow box...do you think its the head ? it starts blowing steem out the tell pipe i dont know if its bad gas or what!
how hard is it to put new HEAD GASKET on ?

oohhh ...that doen't sound to good. ealier you mentioned some one told you it was a bad head gasket....who mentined that? was there testing invovled?

some checks you can do at home;

With the radiator cap off..start the truck...(cold start)
get so you can see both (if you can), in the radiator and the tailpipe, or check both often. OR get a buddy to help.
In the radiator...watch for bubbles....also go back to the tailpipe put your hand in the exhuast stream for a few seconds...then smell your hand, if it smells sweet like anti freeze...then you have a bad head gasket or head issues.

yes, head gaskets can be installed incorrectly.

it is normal for steam/white exhuast to be present on initail start up...BUT should go away after a few minutes of running...how long the steam/or visiable exhuast stream is present with correctly operating car or truck is directly proportional to how cold it is outside ....the colder it is the longer you see the exhuast.

for example ; for about 32*F you should see some exhuast for only about 2-5 min.

if you have bubbles...have the radiator pressure tested & checked for exhuast gases present in the anitifreeze.

hope that helpes
