Fresh rebuilt 2.9, arp rod bolts, hi performance cam, reman heads, stock intake and merkur intake. Any interest?

I assume with no reply and only 5 posts he hasn't been back? Ugg, I could really use a 2.9L for my Bronco 2

Have you checked Ebay lately ?

Nope, and from what I've heard replacement "rebuilt" engines are pretty hit/miss as far as reliability. Probably make more sense to just buy a rebuild kit and have mine rebuilt LOL. Gotta get a 2nd vehicle first though.

Yea, had a feeling this was a "to good to be true" post. New member posting a for sale engine in the wrong section with no pictures or location or contact info usually equals spam.

^^Yeah :(. Really needing a replacement engine for my 88 B2. Then it should be pretty reliable. Its not bad now but with the horrible valve train rattling I don't want to push it too far, and its burning oil so bad that every couple months I have to replace the spark plugs because they get covered in carbon to the point it only runs on part of its cylinders...as if it wasn't a bit underpowered to begin with, cut a couple cylinders and its really gutless LOL.

I'm back, sorry about that. Still have the 2.9 and still for sale. I'll get some pics soon. Also have a merkur intake

Bottom end is assembled, has performance cam arp rod bolts new crank, reman heads. My engine builder assembled the bottom end and we put it on hold while I looked for heads. I really wanted a set of world heads but never found a set so got some reman heads and then I went a different route with the truck and this really isn't going to be needed. The heads alone were $750 which is ridiculous, and I've got a little more than a grand in the bottom end.

So.... what's the price?
Price is needed as per forum rules and location would help interested buyers decide if you're close enough. Don't make it hard for everybody please.

I'm in Minnesota about 45 min north of Minneapolis, I have over 2k in it. I know that's steep so I'm open to offers or trades.

An engine from Autozone, Oreilly, etc. is about $2200 so if you have $2k into it already you aren't going to get what you think you can out of it.

$1,000 if you are lucky.

I'm aware of that, that's also why I'm not super excited to sell it. But it does have some nice parts in it. I would probably let it go for about 1700ish
