I removed the the little plastic POS air damn on the front of the core support next to the radiator on my ranger, now goes straight through from the front of the support, to the bottom of the air box.
If you think your "sucking in hot air", I think your a little misled. we don't have turbos, and you cant feel a thing when your hand is on the filter at warm idle.
