2.8 liter TBI swap

Thats going to be the LCA mount, thats what they are made to be. Laser cut and coming from Arizona and will be at my house Jan. 5th.

As for my track bar, I dont have one yet, have to get the axle under my truck before I can get that.

As for other stuff on my axle, I'm thinking of painting the steeering linkage yellow, yes thats to match my engine and rear diff. cover, yellow is my truck theme now.

i like yellow, have u considered painting the whole truck yellow?

Gotta keep it gray, title says gray as the color, and if you knew much about me, you know why it stays gray, thats my last name Gray, like the crayon. Ya lame last name but gray truck and yellow accents.

grey is spelt g-r-e-y but we'll pretend its gray. lol. so i had a sick weekend. sleedin, quadding bonfires, good times. watched canada juniors stomp usa thursday night on the big screen at a friends. didn't get my muffler on cause i was outta town til tonight but maybe tomorrow or tuesday.
good times:D:D
havent painted my wheels either. contempleting finding good ones to replace the bent ones. we'll see.

My last name is Greman, that explains why it is spelt the way it is, wether it was remade when my family came to America back in the dinosaur ages I'm clueless on.

Look on a Crayola Crayon...its spelt Gray.

As for my SAS, brakets should be here Tuesday, key word, should, but I hopeful they will arrive on time, need to check my e-mails and see where it is at.

As for my pinion, delayed again....couldnt get the numbers off my ring gear for my bro-in-law that he needs to set the bearing onto the pinion shaft..AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...oh well why rush it. Still need to figure out what to do with my upper links and where that are going to mount and how they will mount, wht to do about a track bar, shocks will be the last thing I can do.

As for other news on my truck, starts right up, even in the buttf*&k cold, not bad huuuu, my dads being carbed is a PITA at first to keep running.

Well had to do it, got the money and just ordered a set of these, grand total to my door is $60.25, not a bad price for safety though these are going to be the lower control arm mounting brakets and these are 3 inches wide with a 9/16 inch hole, I have yet to know what I'm going to use or do for the top ones. Came with a free sticker too, that should add some horse power when applied to my back window.

Thanks kroussinoffroad for showing me them, really helped me out, couldnt beat the price either.

where did you get these from? thanks

The Brackets just arrived, got a free sticker too!!!!

Remember go back to page 12 , post 170 to see part 1 of my SAS

Went and decided to order a fuel pressure regulator. This is a non-return style, the small little barb hooks to a vacuum source. But for $28 bucks the price was right. So hopefully I will have it hooked up soon and see if it does the job.

Well after testing it out on my truck, its not burning black smoke anymore but I think I have it adjusted to lean due to it wanting to cut out at around 3200 rpm. I now have it at 40.5 psi (increasing the pressue helped and also restricted it). But had other things to do so I wasnt able fully test, it is held in place by zip ties right now but when the weather warms up then I can fully get it working.

As for my dad hes going to do the duraspark set-up on his.

nice job with your swap sounds awsome in that vid cant wait to see it finished

im dropin my 2.3 and puttin in a 2.9 in and doin a d28 sas setup my dad told me about

It is finished I've just been to lazy getting pictures put on. Fixed the hanging idle thing by moving the throttle actuator tward the front of the truck. It still finctions as in it only keeps the truck at 800 rpm when warmed up but thats it.

After my dad saw that I got it in tune he decided to wanted to do the same thing and not do the duraspark, TBI is cheaper to do.

This is before I put the regulator on and you can see it was getting way to much fuel, carboned up my exhaust real bad.

I still need to tape up some wires and make it look a bit better but that will happen when it warms up outside.

Well I dont know if the system has a power draw on it or not, left the battery in it and after about a week it started right up, usually after 3 days the battery is dead. It started right up and idled at 650rpm and when it warms up it idles at 800 rpm.

And to give a hint as to what wires do what in the above picture, the thick yellow wire goes to an after market relay that powers my fuel pumps, which turns into the thick red/blue wire that is going under the fuel filter (didnt have long enough wires).

doin a good job keep it up.
i havnet look for a bit whens the sas goin down?

When does it warm up in Indiana and when money permits me to. Brother-in-law has been busy this winter, the place he works for is also a tow truck company for anything small to semi's, and hes just been to busy plus hes fixing a Ford 8N tractor, it spun a besaaring and threw the connecting rod out the side of the block, and a few weeks ago I went to Michigan witht him to get a new block and other parts for the tractor. But as soon as he has free time he will help me get the gears set-up in the D30 and then I should have it all back togther and ready to put under my truck when I can.

I actually dont know when I can do the swap, hopefully this year sometime but I'm not sure yet. My dad has a list of stuff we are going to be doing to the house soon. I'll also be doing a build thread on his truck sometime as he is wanting to do a cab swap, bed swap, the TBI upgrade, etc....

Its going to be a busy year for me. But good news is got my xbox 360 working again, after people in my house somehow broke it and I somehow fixed it and they just found out that it works after they caught me on xbox live.
