Been working on it for a while and made enough progrees to make a thread. Its an 85 ranger 2.5 ton rockwells leaf spring suspension (for now) 18.4 x 30 v-treads. Got a lot more grinding and welding to do also got to do the driver side subframe.

idk where you live now but i think florida would be a good place for that truck... my personal opinion is i cant believe how much arch those springs have and it looks like its gonna ride about as soft as if you were to just weld a straight piece of metal from the axle to the frame.

buuutt, cool none the less...

I agree, that does look like a Florida truck. Some more detailed photographs would be nice.

way down south Florida. its gonna ride like a dump truck. lol. Its no where near ready to drive but with me jumping on it it does move. I'll get more pics once it stops raining.

Man Im glad you didnt post this on pirate. All you would hear is "when are you going to go take that to big gay truck land" or "why dont you lower it about 5 foot?"

What are those 12" lift springs for a superduty? Maybe OBS chevy?

front are 20" leafs rear are 24" ATLAS springs for a superduty. Pirate has some good info but most on their are narrow minded sons of b*****. Every area has their own type of wheeling and their Rigs are built for it. I dont have ANY rocks, not many trails, no huge inclines up hills. Just MUD deep watery sticky mud.

I didnt think they were that big. Wow. That truck would so just fine around here also so im definetly not raggin on ya.

ya got the t-case in and subframe is almost done. Got some more of the motor put together.

nice, long slow process huh? lol...

ya pirate is the reason i get mad easily when people argue on here, their so stuck to their ways that if you do it any different your instantly shunned... their definitly a far stretch from here, everyone on here seems to be pretty nice and open to other ideas...

20" springs? so how much did those cost?

When you are done how much do you want for the rims and the one good tire you have on there now?

what the duece and half wheels and tires??

got em from some guys on chuckstrucks. fronts were $300 (used) rear $650(he bought them, & never used them.) a set of (4)24" springs new is about $2000 didnt do too bad.

The truck might be too big and kinda goofy but its gonna be fun for what im using it for.....If you've never been to a florida mud bog its hard to describe. lots of beer around a big hole with lots of boobs so....the taller the better you can see. lol.
