2.3t Install

I would use an m5od , but my truck is staying automatic. Iam currently in the process of adapting a 4r70w behind the 2.3. I know I may be lengthening and shortening driveshaft's, but that's what I'm willing to do for the project. I'm guessing I may have to fabricate some engine to crossmember mounts by the sound of it. Thinking I will make it work with a stock rubber mount for ease of replacement parts.

Btw. Thanks for that detailed pic of the crossmember with mounts. Gives me a good reference to go by. Are the engine side brackets available over the counter? I know the rubber mount is. I currently have a mustang turbo 2.3 engine bracket set, but my luck its probably different.

No problem, both left & right frame brackets are unique to the 2.3 4x4 and most likely you'll only be able to source them from the junkyard. They are also an extreme PITFA to take off lol. The brackets that bolt to the engine are the same as 2wd rangers but most likely will also only be able to source those at the junkyard too.

Those are the ones that bolt to the frame side right? Do you know about the brackets that bolt to the engine side? Are they available?

Oop nevermind, just re read you post above.
