i guess not now that when i searched craigslist columbus oh today for ford and diesel a friggin tempo showed up for 600
they are rare but today has been a good day for them i suppose. An oil leak may be more complicated to fix than you think before seeing it that stuff can come from anything. It would def. be worth searching your local or favorite part suppliers to see if they stock standard parts a diesel may go through before you dump money on it. older beat up vw diesels can be had for that much and have an array of suppliers and stock for parts. If this thing is anything like a perkins (i noticed that mazda leased production to perkins for some motors) the valves will probably need to be adjusted about every 15k (so i've heard from another ford forum). It would definitely be one of those cool buys in that no one on your block let alone town will have one.
BTW: what is involved in importing from Canada, I see Phil has his 2.3 turbo diesel for sale...
