I bought a 2004 2.3L Duratec engine a few months ago because it was a deal I couldn't refuse. It appears to be a brand new crate engine. The problem is now finding a body to put it in. I've been searching(CL, FB, OfferUp) for months to and haven't found much. Maybe I'm being too picky but I'd like an extended cab automatic but at this point I wouldn't mind putting it in anything.
I think the issue is that the things don't die and when they do they immediately goto the scrap yard. So I'd like to know if any of you have any ideas of where to get a body?
Also, how hard would it be to to put the 2.3L in a 6cyl body? Do the mounts line up? Would the computer and wiring swap be a nightmare?
