hi y'all.i have a question about seat tracks for a 1991 reg cab ranger.i have a 1991 standard cab ranger parts truck with the 60/40 split seat.now my question is will that seat track bolt up to my rag cab 1987 floor pan?i was told a xtra cab, reg cab, and bronco 2s floor pans are different.but are they the same from 1st gen to 2nd gen reg cab rangers?any help would be appreciated.

1st gen and 2nd gen cabs, as long as there both standard cabs, will interchange just fine.

for the most part. 83-92 will interchange alot of parts.

Awesome!i want to put explorer seats from a 90-94 in it,and wasn't sure if tracks were interchangeable.thank u for the quick response.thank u

1st and 2nd gen are the same vehicle behind the front fenders.

Regular cab seat tracks are a must for a regular cab Ranger, but the super cab Ranger, the B2, and the 1st gen Exploer (through 94) all have the same seat track. I have had all three pieces bolted into the same truck over the years.

The 80s ones are actually stamped "S-cab Ranger Brono II".

^^^^^^^--- This needs to be in a sticky somewhere. It's often asked and I kinda know part of the answer but still good to know.

Of course there are all kinds of other subtle variations - the cable operated door latch on 92 Rangers, the inner door panels and speaker stuff on Gen1 vs Gen 2 etc etc... but a lot of stuff can be made to fit or in some cases 'upgraded' if you want/need!

I’ve made the thread a sticky. This question seems to come up a lot. So maybe this will save some headaches and confusion.

Cut the Drivers seat, add an Explorer center console from the u pick-it lot. New seat covers for a bucket seat and there you go. There are several videos on you tube to show you how to cut the drivers seat. Here's mine I cut the seat and added console and seat covers from katzskin-leather. The Black & Gray is the stock material tucked in tight after cutting 20% of the seat off. The leather is the final deal.

Sorry, I'm an idiot. Didn't read it right or had a brain fart. But if you ever need to work on the seats-----------------------------------------------

My wife was adamant that if I buy a truck it must have a back seat and a front bench. She hated old trucks. I bought my 91 Xtra cab 2.9 4x4 for $200 without telling her much. Just said I bought a truck let's go get it. She's now expanding her options for her daily to a mid 90s ranger and states my seats are more comfortable than our 2008 vw touareg. I'm not allowed to delete the front bench as per her...(for naughty reasons) so just something that looks nicer
