Hi all, i am new and have searched but did not find the answer to my question.
1st i have a 1999 ranger 3.0 5speed that i am about to swap with a 5.0 auto out of a 1998 explorer. I understand i need to mod or swap the fuel rail with a 1999 explorer because of the return line on the 1998 but not the ranger.
2nd is the vss difference between the two. i understand the 1999 explorer was the same as the ranger and did not need changed, so can i mod the harness from the 1998 or if i buy just the ecm from a 1999? or whole engine harness plus the ecm?
the only information i have seen here and other places tell me this will be a problem but offer no walk through write ups on dealing with these two years.
Any light would be really great. even just a link to the information if i missed it. as soon as i start the tear down i will keep track and try my hand at a build thread.
