hi all i have been wondering if there is a way i can lift my ranger super cab xlt 4x4 any hight than four inches without buying the body lift kit. I am not a fan of going down the body lift road if you know of anyway let me know thanks

no i dont because im wondering if there is anyother way to get to about 6-8 inches all suspension but if there isnt i will most likely be doing a 4" suspension lift with the body lift.

Considering the RCD kit eliminates the torsion bars, I doubt cranking them will raise it any more. :D

If you want to go higher than that, SAS.

For the price you are going to pay for a 4 inch kit (+/- $1200) you can buy a Dana 44, build it to your specs (gearing, open/locked, etc), buy the brackets (coil buckets/RA frame brackets) and put it under the truck for about the same amount, but will be tons more reliable and won't just be a mall crawler

SAS is your only option if you want to go that high without a BL

so would a good axle swap be like a dana 44 and a dana 60 with all the brackets and whatnot?

depends on what kind of wheeling you do

What size tires you plan on running?? Are you planning on doing any kind of moderate to hard wheeling?? Mudding, rock crawling, or trail riding?? All these will make your decision easier

well my plans were to be able to trail ride with it as well as take it out in the mud in SD which is pretty much farm land and then i wanted to put 36" or maybe a little taller on the tires....... i would like to basically use it for mudding but i want it to make it through alot

Well that rules out a Dana 30 Jeep axle, your best bet is to locat you an EB axle, or a 78-79 Dana 44 and shorten to EB specs, so you can use standard length EB axles which are plentiful and cheap, and this will also fit your rear axle. You will have to change your lug pattern to 5x5.5, the rear you can just redrill your current axle, or if your lucky you can grab a set of front and rear axles from an EB

well i will most likely run the dana 44 and shorten it to EB specs then just redrill my rear but then im not sure on strength i want to have something that can go to hell and back

I have an 8.8 rear factory 28 spline and have ran 37's on it and have ran about as extreme as you can get, doing rock crawling, trail riding and mudding, as well as towing 7k lbs with it, I'm sure it will handle anything you throw at it, but to make you feel better, pick up an 8.8 from an explorer, most come factory with Limited slips, and all 95+ come with 31 spline and disc brakes, which is what I upgraded to...
