The RPM are in the 1200 when cold and in the 1000 when hot. I need to bring the RPM down to specifications.

My first guess is the idle air control valve. I'm planing to replace it but before i spend the money, can you guys help me with this.

Thanks!

I don't think there is an actual idle screw to adjust on the motor, my best guess would be the air control valve as well.

Take it off and clean it.
Sometimes helps. The ports could be carboned up.
Clean there too.
Worth a can of carb/choke cleaner.

I clean my 2000's ~ yearly.
Still original.
Mine hums with the AC on.
Still works tho'.

Don't touch any screw. Messes up the TPS voltage.

Might as well clean the throttle body while you're at it.

Thanks!

Thanks guys i'm new on this site but it really help your comments!
