What's the next best step from here? Should I go to a junkyard, buy a new one, or just send it? 1998 4.0l OHV

Thanks

Can't be repaired

So yes, buy a new one, if you get a used one, have it cleaned and pressure tested at machine shop

Needs to be a 1998-2000 4.0l OHV head, they were different than 1997 and earlier heads

Does anyone have experience with Enginetech or ITM heads? Those are the two options on RockAuto, the Enginetech are $160, the ITM are $190. If the ITMs are worth it I have no problem spending the extra.

Hey man how many cracks did your heads have? My head's are cracked just like that in 3 different places on both heads on cylinders 1,4 and 6..Was your truck way down on power before you found the head was cracked? My truck ran fine and didn't even smoke but it was completely gutless and had NO pulling power..I'm hoping new heads fix the no power problem on my 2000..

The truck was very down on power but I don’t think it was from the crack in the head. On mine the injectors were also stuck wide open ( when I took off the cylinder head there was raw fuel filling all of the cylinders ) and that caused it to bog down and pull like crap. I haven’t gotten around to putting the motor in yet so I’m not sure about anything, I’ll lyk 🤘
