I have a stock 1997 Ford Ranger XLT V6 4.0L. I'm putting on a 3" body lift on it with 15" rims. Does any one know how what the largest size tire is I can out on it without cutting the fenders or altering the body?

I can put 32's on it without altering the body with just a 3inch body lift?

yeah. you should also be able to clear a 33x10.5.... maybe a 12.5 if your coils haven't sagged too much. some people clear 33x10.5 with just a leveling kit

My Bronco didn't clear 33s with 3" bl and expl springs, but I have aftermarket wheels for jeep with low/negative offset.

Broncos have way smaller wheel wells than 3rd gen rangers, I fit 32s with coilspacers, but I cut fender

my truck came stock with 31"....

I put 32" on the stock "Deer Prints" with no lift and didn't rub.....

didn't need the 2" spacers til I added my winch and bumper....

Same. I do rub slightly but I'm also using aftermarket wheels with 3.75" backspacing. If I was up 3" instead of only 2" coil spacers I would not rub at all with my 32's.

My coil springs are also originals with 206k miles on them so I might be sagging a bit.....

i had a 2" body lift but cut my body up enough to clear 36"S lol they still are gonna rub the radius arms either way. and you may need to pull the inner fenders outta the way a bit. just heat it and bend them back about 3" and the tire wont catch them

how about 32x11.50

you think that 32x11.50 tires will rub on the body when i make turns on my 1997 ranger with a 3" body lift?

My 93 rubbed with a 3" BL and 2" suspension lift until I trimmed my valence and fender flares. The offset of your rims is really important.

rim offset

what size offset on the rims do you think i should do then?

Not sure, to be honest I don't even know what mine are. They were the big purchase the PO made for the truck before he mothballed it.

i would say for backspacing go with 3.5 or 3.75.... it looks really good. and you shouldn't rub at all with a 3" body lift. my 93 has 195K on it and i almost clear 32's stock with 3 3/8" backspacing. i just rub a bit on the fog valence
