Hey guys we are looking at a 95 Ranger 4x4 extended cab with the common (so I have heard) 2nd gear slipping issues. I heard that it is the Valve Body gasket that does this. Is this correct?

Also what are some cheap common mods done on this gen ranger?

What engine was available I am reading 3.0 and 4.0L?

Which trans would this have?

Also I have seats from a 99 ranger will these fit?

I currently have a Tk5 transmission and t-case from a 84 B2 worse case scenario could I drop this in there?
Thanks

The 4R44E and 4R55E were both used in the 1995 - 1997 Ford Rangers, engine size determined which one

Yes, '99 seats will work, you will unbolt seats from mounts, so you will use the '95 mounts on the '99 seats, just 4 bolts on each seat

Assuming '84 B2 had 2.8l then no, trans will not bolt to 3.0l or 4.0l, as far as I know

Yes it is the 2.8L. Thanks for that info if these seats are bad I will throw in these leather gray ones in. Thanks for that info I will have to find out which trans and engine it has.
