I know I have a few threads posted on here but what can I say, I love working on these things!

I can’t remember if I ever posted this truck and if I did, I can’t seem to find the post....

What I stumbled on is a SUPER CLEAN and well taken care of 1994 ranger ex cab with a perfect rust free body and a matching topper!
Has just over 100k miles and I bought it from the original owner!
The old man that owned it, let his grand son use it for the weekend and he told him “it started making noise”
Needless to say he ran it out of oil and now it bleeds oil and smokes like a train!
Got a low mile 4.0 for her and I’m going to be breathing new life into it!
The interior is almost perfect! Has power everything minus the manual transfer case!

Really looks like a good find/buy (y)

If it was RED it would be a PERFECT Ranger

you have some really neat stuff in the background

nice Ranger too.

Swapping the motor out this weekend. I’ll do my best with picture updates and all that fun stuff!

Don't forget the rear main seal, they like to leak on the 4.0l OHV, cheap part but a pain to get to

The rear main isn’t too bad. That’s a general rule of thumb for me for any engine I’m doing. That and the front main/timing cover, every one I’ve encountered has leaked!

Looks good, just make sure the transmission has been serviced, its the major weak link to those trucks.

I actually drove it an hour home and the transmission shifts perfectly.
I will be putting a much larger transmission cooler in it as well.
If by some chance it does fail, I happen to have a nice rebuilt 0 mile M5OD from a 2008 ranger that I can put in! I have all the conversion parts including a pcm! Options, options !
